The basic rules:
Rules are a particularly thorny subject in this game, as there are tons of different (and crazy) rules to choose from. My personal recommendation are the following standard rules:
1. The cue ball may only be grabbed/blocked by the opponent if the ball has previously touched a cup or the table, but not while in the cup. Before the ball has touched a cup or the table, you are not allowed to touch it.
2. Should a player touch the ball before it has touched the cup/table, a one-cup penalty will be assessed. The pitcher whose throw was interfered with may choose which cup to remove from play. This rule only applies while the ball is "above" the field of play. If the ball is caught behind the tabletop, it is allowed.
3. Bounce Shots: Players are allowed to bounce their shots on the table before they go into the cup. Based on the above rule, bounce shots may be intercepted as soon as a cup or table is touched for the first time. It should be noted that hits via bounce shots count as two hits.
4. The ball must not be touched while it is in the cup, ie no fingering or blowing.
5. Each team has the opportunity twice in the game to rearrange the cups in the drawn plan.
6. The cup formation must be aligned in the center of the table. The last cup must always be placed in the middle of the table, no more than 2 cm from the back edge of the table.
7. Cups that slip out of formation due to a wet table can be rearranged correctly if the opposing team requests it.
8. The player must not rest his hand, foot, leg or any part of his body on the table for better reach. A player's hand must not touch the table until the throw is made.
9. The throwers are not allowed to stand next to the table while throwing.
10. Distractions are allowed with the exception of the following restrictions (1-cup penalty):
• Players are not allowed to leave the edge of the table with any part of their body, clothing or other object while the other team is throwing. To avoid this rule-breaking, one should step behind the table.
• Players may not fan, blow, or otherwise intentionally create airflow around the game cups, throwing line, or table.
• The opponent may be made to laugh or verbally distracted as long as the offense is not insult and the players stay on their side of the table.
11. In the event that the ball first hits the opponent (eg standing behind the table) and then lands in the cup, this counts as a hit.
12. After the opponent's throws have ended, the cups hit must ALWAYS be emptied in one go without delay.
Possible additional rules:
The additional rules can also be included individually in your basic rules, just everyone should know about it so that there are no discussions. In particular, the “bubble/finger” rule is often used as a standard.
rebound- If the thrown ball does not hit the table or the cup and is caught directly by the opponent, the opponent may try to throw it into the opponent';s cup. If it hits, it counts as a hit. The game then continues normally with 2 throws.
bomb– If both players hit the same cup with the ball, all adjacent cups must also be emptied.
Atomic Bomb– If both balls hit the same cup, with at least one being hit by a bounce shot, the game is won directly. (Beginner rule is followed)
backspin– If the ball rolls back at least over the center line after a failed throw, the ball may be thrown again. The throw is done with the back to the table over the shoulder
Dead Water– If the ball hits the water cup, the opposing team wins. The throw can be canceled if the thrower drinks a whole pint.
Double Rally– If both balls are hit, you get 2 more throws
blow job– If the ball lands in the cup and is still circling in the cup, it can be saved by blowing. ATTENTION: If cups fall over, they count as points for the opponent.
suck the water– 1x in the entire game each team may put the ball in their mouth and try to spit/blow it into the opposing water cup. The turn is order independent and does not count as a "throw" when it is your turn. If the ball hits the water cup, the opponent must drink and clear a cup of their choice.
Deadline Buffalo– The first roll is made with the “worse hand”.
Second Buffalo– The second roll is made with the “worse hand”.
Double Buffalo– All throws are made with the “worse hand”
First bounce– the first throw must be performed with a bounce shot, but may not be parried and also only counts as a single hit
Second bounce– the second throw must be performed with a bounce shot, but must not be deflected and also only counts as a single hit
Double kill– Both players must always throw at the same time
Lost The Chance– No replay in case of a double hit
say it– On the first throw, the thrower must announce which cup is to be hit. Only then does the hit count
talk to me– On the second throw, the thrower must announce which cup is to be hit. Only then does the hit count
composure- After each change (it is now team A's turn), the following team must say a toast
The classic among the drinking games at every party.
You stand opposite each other at a table, on each side there are 10 beakers of beer, which are filled up to the lower calibration mark. You can also make it "simple" and simply distribute 2x0.5L beer on each side of the 10 cups.
If you play alone or don't want to drink so much (WTF?), you can distribute just 1x0.5L to the first 6 cups and fill the row of 4 with water so that they don't tip over. The water is then of course not drunk.
The table:
Beer pong is usually played on a beer pong table measuring 240x60x70 cm. Some providers also sell tables with shorter dimensions, but this has the disadvantage that you are used to the "wrong length" in tournaments in pubs or with other people.
There are tables made of aluminum as a very light folding version, similar to the trestle table, cheap and in all shapes, colors and designs:
"If you buy cheap, you buy twice". I can only say that here at the table. This table is absolutely worth the money. Personally, I wouldn't take an "unknown" table for a few bucks less. Here you know what you have.
DIY table with cup holder approx. 90€
Ideal for festival visits, but optically not the bringer and I wasn't completely convinced of the stability either.
Eye-catching design and definitely recommended!
You can also build a table yourself in the dimensions and simply buy a cover for the table, which is attached to the table with Velcro or duct tape or permanently with glue.
Of course you can also simply use a beer table or any other table. This is of course possible, but brings far less flair than a "real" gaming table.
I don't think you can go wrong here. I got this mat for my birthday and everyone signed in the middle. That was a very nice present.
A great intermediate solution between buying, building or just a game plan is to paint or print on an existing beer table. Enamel paints or other waterproof paints should also be used here, which ideally are also reasonably resistant to alcohol. Alternatively, you can also paint the table and then cover it with a transparent tablecloth so that "normal" colors can be used.
The master solution is a beer table that has been processed with a wood laser and all the necessary markings have been embossed into the table.
The structure:
With a purchased table, the form where the cups are placed is printed on it. Before that, the beer mugs are filled up directly with beer. The ideal filling quantity is 2x0.5L beer per 10 cups. Then the cups are not so full that it is a pain to drink the cup to Ex every time and the cups are heavy enough that they don't fall over when the ball is thrown.
HERE COMES ANOTHER PICTURE
The game:
The teams or players each go to their side of the table. It is puzzled (rock, scissors, couple of beers) who starts. The first team throws twice and tries to sink the ball into the opponent's cups. If both balls were thrown, it is checked whether a ball is in the cup. If a cup is hit, the contents must be drunk in one gulp. If both balls are hit, the team can throw again. Otherwise it is the opponent's turn. The game is played until one team runs out of cups and has lost. In this case, the loser must also drink the remaining cups of the winning team.
A classic beer pong set is part of the standard equipment for your party supplies!
Car Edition
The Auto Edition is aimed at drivers, pregnant women, the ailing, wimps and those who just can't be persuaded to drink.
All of our parties are: DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!
Of course, the beer pong cups can also be filled with non-alcoholic drinks, but if you have to drink 1 liter of coke in no time, you won't exactly say thank you.
Therefore, just fill the 10 cups evenly with a total of one liter of water, just like in practice tournaments, and put a small table to the side. When hit, the cup is removed and can be placed on its side. The water is neither drunk nor poured out (saves water and time!).
The fun of the game is significantly reduced, but you can practice and the "nothing drinkers" are not completely excluded.
Beer Pong To Go
The biggest problem with beer pong is the venue.
Such a table is light, but transporting it by bike or in a backpack is not ideal.
One or the other will say: "Just put the cups on the footpath and it'll be fine".
It is possible, but making room quickly or tipping over cups while playing can result in serious alcohol loss.
Of course, there is also the ideal solution for this:
The rack is a plastic holder in which the cups can be placed in the right formation and will definitely not fall over.
If the path or the street has to be cleared, all the cups can be moved to the side with a flick of the wrist.
Another advantage is that you can play with the rack on uneven surfaces, such as meadows or fields.
Racks usually come as a set of cups and balls, but you can't have enough of those either. Some racks have an extra feature that they are equipped with a cooling liquid and you can freeze it *beginners cough*.
That might be nice for the first lap, but unfortunately not really cooling afterwards.
I have listed the most interesting racks for you here:

Beer pong pool
The summers are getting hotter and the shade in swimming pools and bathing lakes or dams is also rather rare. The only thing that helps is jumping into the cool water.
I here the beer pong fun should not be lost and you don't have to look for a shady spot somewhere. The water version is an air mattress that can be inflated by mouth. Cups and balls are usually already included. In the mattress there are depressions for the cups and, depending on the manufacturer, extra shelves for balls, collection points for empty cups or other things that you have with you in the water.
However, one can only assume that it is a "fun article", since the dimensions are very small and the accuracy of the hits suffers greatly due to the choppy water.
The rules should be kept as simple as possible: single hit, no bounces, have fun and drink lots!
Tip: If you have a pool, just fill the cups with water and take a shot each time. This saves nerves, chlorine and your drink is not mixed with pool water.

Beer Pong Girls
No, there are no girls getting lost or renting out here who play beer pong with you and no it's not cliché and it's not sexist or offensive or anything.
It's just an alternative that';s probably aimed more at women than at men.
Beer pong with a difference: Prosecco pong is the magic word. The rules are the same as always, but the glasses (cups) are more like a Prosecco glass and the content should probably be adjusted accordingly.
A funny gift idea for all party-loving people. On New Year Eve you can shorten the waiting time very well and don't have to fill your stomach with &"heavy beer". The balls are of course stylish in PINK!
And to you gentlemen: Such bubbling water can go to your head quite well, so feel free to play a round!
The set comes as a set of 12, so either play “all against all” and whoever hits can determine who has to drink, or you simply buy 2 sets at this low price and play in teams against each other.

Beer Pong Welcome
How do you greet your guests at your party?
With a drink of course! But what kind? They will know that soon. This fun game is versatile and actually perfect as a greeting.
Every guest who comes may throw the ball at the board. You can consider making one color non-alcoholic with soda shots and the other with different drinks throughout.
After you score, you drink up, write your name on it with a permanent marker, and you've got a shot glass, a memento of the party, and an instant place card.
When ordering, you have to be careful that there are versions that don't come with cups, so there's a link for individual cups to reorder!

Beer Pong Men
Why men and not women? Because women probably wouldn't get the stupid idea of putting on a hat, putting mugs of beer on top of it, and then throwing balls in there.
The same applies here: Suitable for anyone who has no problem getting a beer shower, who wants to enjoy 100% beer and has perhaps already played 3 rounds (too many) of the classic version.
I would argue that there are no rules here, apart from standing a little still when the other person is throwing.
Solo variant:Who throws in all their cups first and drinks them up. The time is stopped
Duel Variant:It must be thrown into the opponent's cups, like in beer pong.
Team Variant:One throws, one catches, we drink together!
Beer Pong Mini
"BeerBaller" or "Mini-Pong" - The name clearly reveals the state in which the game was invented. However, it's a great game for bars and pubs that want to offer their customers some variety. You can also play it a few times at JGA or parties.
It's a board with two catapults, each capable of launching a ball on a string. The aim here is also to hit the opposing cups.
The game was probably meant to be played with different shots in the glasses so you don't have a direct choice of what to drink. If you are honest, after one or two rounds at the latest, the evening would have been over for one person if you had to drink 10 shots of schnapps and possibly the opponent's drinks.
The shots are too small to play with beer. Here you should switch to a mixed drink or a wine spritzer. Overall, it's a nice game that you don't see that often at parties. It's not a game you can play all night, but it's a great addition. A great gift for anyone who loves to play beer pong.
Very high quality processed and definitely worth the money!
The easy way. Better for home than to give away.

Beer Pong Coolibri
Unfortunately, the ultimate expansion set for every beer pong evening is not 100% ready yet. The design is still being tweaked and the game modes are being changed a bit. But you can already look forward to it!
